Hi,    (01)

Something on WorldChanging.com about saving whales from Icelandic
trawlers highlighted the need for a website where folks can log on and
buy one or more shares in a company purely for social purposes.
I.e. suppose the shares of Icelandic whaling companies are exposed
through eBay and or Paypal and such, and they can be purchased in small
enough amounts for ordinary individuals to grab one or two, and at the
same time there is some way for anyone holding a share in the company to
voice an opinion about what the company should do and vote on other
opinions from others. It raises that possibility that the coordination
of microholdings could be used to halt problems like renewed whaling
that isn't in the global interest.    (02)

Anyone know if there are already sites that do this?    (03)

Cheers,
Peter    (04)
