Here is how to activate it:    (01)

Restart Firefox (for the extension to be activated)
Choose View/Sidebar/Wikalong (to activate the sidebar)    (02)

Browse a site. There may not be anything there. So you can go to either
www.wikalong.com or
http://dorai.wordpress.com/2006/04/10/wikalong-a-really-cool-idea/ (a
shameless plug for my blog) where I added a sentence.    (03)

I will check out gibeo.net.    (04)

I installed Wikalong, but don't see anything happen in my browser.
Shouldn't there be a button somewhere?    (07)

Does anybody have experience with a related tool:    (08)

http://gibeo.net/    (09)

 From their about-page:    (010)

"The Gibeo Network is a new online service built by Gibeo. It's a rapidly
growing community, a web annotation service, a open content-enhancing
platform, an amazingly simple and useful tool for browsing and sharing the
web.    (011)

[...]    (012)

Every page has a powerful set of options available when you select any text
on that page. Those options allow you to instantly highlight that selection
as important, wrong, cool, and more for your friends or everyone to see. Not
just highlight text, but you can annotate it as well, adding comments to any
selection, corrections, links, and shared discussions can happen anywhere on
any site. You can also instantly share the selection and URL with your
friends via IM, email, RSS, your blog, or bookmark it for later. "    (013)

What makes me a bit suspicious is:    (014)

"Basic members are Ad supported and a few restrictions. Premier members
(anyone with a balance above zero) have no Ads and no restrictions."    (015)

Does anybody know what the 'few restrictions' are?    (016)
