There have always been vested interests. And there have always been
ways around them. It is a question of where the foothoot can be found
and how you can get enough momentum to outrun them.    (01)

For every obstructionist, there is someone else who could
make things happen if things were set into motion.    (02)

 % Consider this.
 %
% There exists the airport known as San Jose International here in
% California. It's actually a little backwater general aviation airport
% that grew up in the shadow of SFO (San Francisco International). There
% exists a system known around here as Bart (Bay Area Rapid Transit).
% This is a rail system not unlike the people carriers in London,
% Washington D.C. and elsewhere around the world.
 %
% When Bart was to be brought to the SJI (not its actual initials)
% airport, the airport administrator refused to grant rights to do so.
% The reason given: the airport depends on revenue generated by the
 % parking lots.
 %
% With mentalities like that in existence (similar problem in San
% Francisco: the bus drivers would lose jobs if Bart went to SFO), how
% is it that any "club" will ever succeed?
 %
% Social engineering is going to have to wait until "the system"
% (whatever that is) finally collapses and those in power and authority
% lose their jobs. That's my take on reality. Not a pretty one.
