Sorry, that I missed those previous mentions of i-names. I'll be glad to
purchase a name (even though I doubt I'll get 50 years of service from
it at my age), but I am not clear what it does for me in plain, everyday
language.    (02)

Can I use it instead of my email address to restrict my incoming mail to
come from parties I have selected (a subscription, say, or an
individual). Does it preclude others from using my ID? (At the moment
there is all kind of unsavory email with my email address on it flying
all over the Internet.) Can I discontinue my present email service and
have my i-name service replace it?    (03)
