The problem of inability to cover large distances in a single
day *can* be addressed through motivation and training (Patton,
the Romans, and the Mongols leap to mind) but there is still an
upper bound on the results that are achievable and the number
of people capable of participating. (03)
Technology like the automobile puts much greater mobility in the
hands of many more people. I believe the communication/collaboration
situation is analogous. (04)
