GivingSpace has been holding think-tank seminars looking for simple ways
to make the world a better place - www.givingspace.org attended by an
eclectic group of folks... this meeting next week at Stanford on the
10th I think will include from this list: Eugene, Sam Hunting, Jair,
Jerry Michalski (maybe), and maybe John Sechrest, plus whoever shows up
from the pattern folks at Hillside Group, and Kevin Jones from
Collective Intelligence. (01)
It starts at 10:00 and is will be free-form, depending on who exactly
shows up. Depending on the pattern folks who show up, I'd like to talk
about the exact pattern form to be used in the uplift pattern language
(I don't want to start with the word "problem" in the form), for
example... (02)
I also want to talk about the uplift tapestry model that Sam and Jack
did, and how we could couple the tapestry logic to include the
WhatWorksForUs feedback logic, Pattern definitions, contexts, and other
information to allow us to "mine" for the most uplifting activities in
the tapestry. Sam assures me that this is a simple matter of
programming. Sam and I will be hanging out all day; those with limited
time, we can focus on 10-12 for the meat of it. There will be lots of
talk about open taxonomies and ways to manage all of this... (03)
Mostly, it will be Very Interesting People getting together with a
technical bent. (04)

Tell me something about that project. I see that Jack and Eugene
are both participating, which tells me it's interesting. But
this is the first I've heard of it. (I probably missed the
threads that brought it up, so I could use a capsule summary.) (08)
