When trying to generate or prep for emergence of shared intensity
within a collaboration or social context, one terrific facilitator is a
defined problem that has to be solved and initial failure. People in
general like to contribute and be noticed, but nobody wants to jump
forward only to eat foot in the mouth in front of a lot of people
unless someone else does it first. How many times have you sat in a
group discussion, just sitting back because you didn't feel like there
was anything you could add to it until someone who appeared to have a
bit of authority stumbles and all of a sudden you snap out of it and
realize, "Wait, I can do better than that!" Then before you know it,
other people are jumping in as well. (02)
