Thanks to all who came out tonight:    (01)

  Eric Armstrong
  Sheldon Chang
  Jon Cheyer
  Bill Daul
  Brian Lincoln
  Mike Mell
  Jack Park
  Dorai Thodla    (02)

Thanks also to Sheldon for bringing his camera! When those pictures
are available, I'll link them to the Wiki so people know what we look
like.    (03)

In general, we had a good time mixing, and there were a lot of small
conversations going on. I also realized that I had forgotten two
people on these lists: Shinya Yamada and Ramesh Nethi. Our list
membership actually spans seven countries! I updated the People page
on the Wiki accordingly.    (04)

Towards the end of the evening, Brian posed an idea that got
everyone's attention. He calls it "grass roots peer review," and it
sparked a high-intensity discussion. Brian, I took the liberty of
creating a Wiki page for it:    (06)

Feel free to change it so that it's true to your original intent.    (08)

At one point in the evening, the discussion centered around this idea
got very technical, to the point where we started talking about a
potential Blue Oxen experiment. I'll pose those ideas on the
tools-yak list.    (09)
