Worth tracking.    (02)

Can't say I'm wild about that. That's what form-based systems are
all about -- doing your editing on the server. Entirely too slow
a process, information is lost way to easily, and the interface
is determined by the server -- instead of giving each user the
ability to pick one they like.    (03)

There's no intermediate option, either. With any sort of combination
system, a new client is still needed.    (04)

On the other hand, I have to admit that the desktop system you
pointed us to the other day worked spectacularly well. It was
running programs locally, but obtaining them from the server.    (05)

With something like that, a good combination system would be
possible -- editing would happen locally, with the potential
for occasional server interactions.    (06)

But that was Mozilla, wasn't it? XUL and JavaScript and stuff?    (07)
