Hi YAKers,

Compendium 1.3.02: Windows / MacOS X / Linux

We're pleased to announce that cross-platform Compendium is now available.
Thanks
to all those Mac and Linux people who've been waiting so patiently.
Thanks to our testers who have been putting the tool through its paces and feeding back.

Go to the
Downloads page and grab the installer for your chosen platform: http://www.compendiuminstitute.org/download/download.htm

PLEASE take the trouble to read the
platform-specific Installation Guide, which explains how to install MySQL, use a current installation if you already have it. In particular, remember to start MySQL after installing it!

If you're already a Windows user then Compendium 1.3.02 is a relatively minor upgrade, but ensures that you have a few recent bug fixes, PLUS the ability to give Maps/Lists their own meaningful 'cover' image, a feature which our beta testers have found brings maps to life in useful and fun ways. You can install direct over your current Compendium folder, but if you want to keep your new installation completely clean (we've restructured a few bits) then rename your current folder and then copy over folders that you want (e.g. Linked Files, Exports, Backups).

For the developers among you, having stabilized the code across platforms, with a bit of documentation, we're aiming for an
Open Source release by end of May.

Yours,

The Compendium Team
