Rod Welch uses 2 dots for the text of his approximation to "Purple Numbers".
The are unobtrusive, but they don't provide the information needed to
construct links from a printed version, but neither does the "permalink"
noted in an earlier post or any other form that doesn't include the ID in
the interface.    (01)
