WikiWords encourage emergent behavior. People who are habitual Wiki
users often find that they use WikiWords for important concepts while
authoring, even if they have no plans on filling out those words.
That encourages other people to make contributions. This phenomenon
is described in The Wiki Way.    (03)

I think that doing things in camel case has an important cognitive
effect as well, which makes it ideally suited for developing and
propagating pattern languages. When you see something in camel case,
it emphasizes that term as the identifier for a certain concept
(elaborated on the Wiki page itself). This encourages shared
vocabulary. These days, when I think of "think out loud," I'm
actually picturing "ThinkOutLoud." I not only write it this way in
Wikis, I often write it this way in e-mails as well. Scan the
archives of this list, and you'll notice that other people also seem
to be thinking and writing this way.    (04)
