Has anyone here done any extensive playing with Mozilla's XUL ?    (03)

Web-enabled java, or java in a browser and Mozilla's XUL seem like
really strong candidates for creating pretty interesting applications...
I've seen some really interesting stuff done in MSIE-only javascript,
with a combination of server-push and client-side interface elements.    (04)

Its totally off-topic, but WxPortal is a commercial client & server
software thing where they use a fairly robust MSIE-javascript interface
where you can save views, extensive macros, and utilize a wide array
of data sources which are pulled in on the server side and a bunch of
pre-processing is done so that results can be viewed quickly.    (05)

http://www.wxportal.com/Tour.html    (06)

It has a number of windows around the central graphics display, many
of which interact and alter the behaviour of other windows on the client
side. Because its all javascript, all of the data is either cookies or
stored on the server, but I point it out as an example of a fairly
robust piece of software that this company is using to replace their
previous (very heavy) previous openGL , C++ application with for
most users.      (07)

Anyway, I have not really seen that many really useable, stable, and
robust examples of heavily using the features which are already
available on the current browsers.    (08)

What are other examples of really using the features in mozilla or MSIE
to create a real light application with interesting interface elements?    (09)
